3/3/2016 G H Tool and Mold of Washington has become one of the latest Missouri employers to be awarded the Flag of Freedom award for the hiring of five Veterans or Service Members under Missouri's Flag of Freedom program. The award was presented in ceremonies on March 3 at the company's headquarters in Washington.

The Show-Me-Heroes Flag of Freedom plaque features a subdued American flag patch worn by a Missouri National Guard solider or Airman while deployed in support of operations in Afghanistan or Iraq.

The Show-Me heroes program, established by Gov. Jay Nixon in January, 2010, helps connect military veterans with job opportunities when they return home from service. Administrated by the Missouri Division of Workforce Development, the program showcases Missouri businesses that are willing and eager to hire veterans.

Employers participating in the Show-Me-Heroes program sign a pledge to ramp up efforts to reach out to, recruit and interview veterans for job openings at their business. Approximately 8% of G H Tool and Mold's workforce served in the military prior to joining the company. G H Tool and Mold joined the Show-Me heroes program in 2011.

"These Missouri businesses and organizations are honoring the sacrifices made by the men and women of our armed services by making it a priority to hire veterans when they return home," Gov. Nixon has stated.

10/20/2015 G.H. Tool & Mold recently announced they have formed a business partnership with Tooling Technology Holdings, LLC. of Fort Loramie, Ohio.

Founded in 1983 by Gerry and Sue Hellebusch, G.H. Tool & Mold engineers, designs and manufactures die cast tooling for the automotive, outdoor products and aerospace industries. With 150 highly-skilled employees in two facilities in Washington, and a third facility in Statesboro, Georgia, GH Tool understands what it means to grow as a company. "One of the core values of G.H. Tool has always been to protect the future job security of our employees," said Gerry Hellebusch.

"This commitment to our people is and has been the basis for all of our business decisions, and for forming our vision of the company's future." With this in mind, the company began exploring creative business solutions that would not only support the company's long-term goals as an industry leader, but also improve growth opportunities through developing relationships with customers.

Founded in 1982, Tooling Tech is a leading supplier of high-quality tooling for a variety of material forming processes. In addition to their partnership with GH Tool, Tooling Tech partnered with Majestic Industries, one of the top progressive die makers in the U.S., in May of this year.

Together, the three tooling companies are a one-stop shop for a diverse set of end markets including automotive, industrial, aerospace, outdoor products, automation and quick-change products. "We are delighted to partner with Tooling Tech at this stage of our evolution. Their rich operational expertise and industry relationships will help us grow at a much faster pace," Gerry said. "GH Tool is another strategic partnership providing us with increased visibility to the automotive programs, enhancing our tooling capabilities to serve different end markets, and widening our geographical reach in the southern United States and Mexico," said Tony Seger, CEO of Tooling Tech. GH Tool employees met with Seger and Hellebusch this week to discuss their future. "GH Tool has great people and great systems," said Seger. "We don't need to change a thing, and I'm excited that we don't have to. We just want to help them grow."

After 32 years as sole owner, the Hellebusches approached this new business arrangement very carefully. "This partnership provides us with better growth opportunities, market share and stability than we could have achieved on our own," Gerry said. "Now I know our employees will have a place to work, with a solid income and opportunities to share in the profits, for years to come."
